The Tafel in Offenburg collects "surplus" but qualitatively impeccable food and passes it on - for a small fee - to those in need.
We support the balance between abundance and scarcity with 100 cloth bags and €2,000.
The Tafel started with a few boxes of goods per day, today they are at several tons of goods per week. This enables them to supply the socially disadvantaged citizens of Offenburg's catchment area with high-quality food every week. With a payment of approx. 15 - 20 % of the store price and a measured but free selection, they counteract the status of "charity recipients".
